Susan Fritz was elected Vice President of Vecinos in 2025. She and her husband, Joel, have been in Akumal for over thirty years. They own three properties, and Susan has served as HOA president at Nahil for eight years.
Her experience includes owning two successful restaurants in Vail, Colorado. She started the “Taste of Vail” thirty-five years ago, bringing local food and wine industries together in a successful fundraiser for the community with a goal of getting Vail recognized as more than just a ski area, which helped build traffic in its shoulder seasons. Vail and Akumal are similar in that both are destinations that are the uniquely charming gems of their regions.

Ingrid’s experience includes ecology, event planning, real estate rentals, and property management, arts, dance, and theater, photography, and painting as a hobby.
She is currently John Allen's personal assistant and archivist and works with the institute of Ecotechnics. As vice president of ADMAK, the local Akumal Property Managers, Ingrid is active in the local community.
Ricardo was elected to an At-Large board seat in 2025 after serving two years as President. He and his wife, Monica, have five children and three grandchildren.

George was re-elected to the Vecinos board in 2024. He chairs the Vecinos Maintenance Commitee and also serves as treasurer for La Bahia. He and his wife, Josie, started coming to Akumal in 2000 and bought their condo in La Bahia in 2012. They usually spend a total of 6-7 months a year in North Akumal.
Before retiring in 2006 George owned and managed construction companies for 35 years. He has served on many boards, both for profit and non-profit companies. Most notably, he was President of the Mid America show board, a 6-member board that held trade shows in 11 states. George also helped form an education training program for training personnel in the swimming pool industry and was an instructor for the program.
