Announcement of 2026 Vecinos Annual Meeting

To the Members of Vecinos de Akumal Norte:

On behalf of the Vecinos Board of Directors, you are invited to the Annual (Ordinary) Meeting of Vecinos de Akumal Norte A.C. on February 19, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. upstairs at La Buena Vida Restaurant in Akumal Norte, Municipality of Tulum, Quintana Roo. You may attend in person or by Zoom videoconference at this link. 

If there are not sufficient members represented in person, on Zoom, or by proxy to reach a quorum for the meeting described above, then by this notice, we are calling a second meeting for February 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. upstairs at La Buena Vida Restaurant in Akumal Norte, Municipality of Tulum, and by Zoom videoconference at the same link. In such case, the Assembly shall be deemed validly constituted with the members present, and resolutions shall be adopted by a majority vote of those in attendance. Members wishing to participate by videoconference are requested to pre-register by email at admin@vecinosakumalnorte.org.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1. Designation of President, Scrutineer, and Secretary of the meeting and attendance roll call
2. Verification of legal quorum and declaration that the meeting is legally constituted
3. Ratification of appointment of President, Scrutineer, and Secretary for the meeting
4. Reading of agenda
5. Retirement of members and admission of new members
6. Reports from association President and committees
7. Discussion and approval of Treasurer's report for 2025-26
8. Discussion and approval of 2026-27 budget
9. Discussion and resolution regarding whether votes cast by individual members of the Board of Directors shall be recorded in the minutes
10. Appointment of the Statutory Examiner (Comisario).
11. Ratification of appointment of Vice President, Secretary, and four Members-at-Large of the Vecinos Board of Directors
12. Other business

If you are unable to attend in person or by Zoom, a proxy form (in Spanish) is available by clicking here for you to nominate another member of Vecinos to vote on your behalf. The designated person must present the signed proxy form to the legal advisor for the Association or send it by email to tandymw47@gmail.com before the start of the meeting.
