Akumal Norte is a unique, all-volunteer community. Unlike towns in the U.S., we don’t have a municipal government funding essential services like security and road maintenance. Vecinos relies entirely on member dues and donations as its sole source of revenue. And every peso goes directly back into supporting and protecting our community.

Today, Vecinos volunteers are actively maintaining our roads, streetlights, the Pluma, and National Guard security presence. We’re also leading efforts like the Urban Image Initiative, addressing electrical interruptions, managing sargassum challenges, organizing community cleanups, supporting taxi and shuttle services, coordinating ambulance and emergency response, improving water quality, and hosting community events—just to name a few.

We need your dues now to continue this critical work—and we need your help growing our membership. Please encourage your neighbors to join and support Vecinos. We no longer require a copy of your fideicomiso or share certificate - a utility bill or tax receipt in your name, or certification from your property manager or HOA president, is now sufficient.  It only takes a minute and it makes a big difference.
