Akumal Emergency Medical Services Program
A Community Initiative to Save Lives
The Akumal Emergency Medical Services Program was created by the Vecinos Board of Directors to strengthen emergency medical response within our community.
Akumal is home to residents, workers, and visitors from around the world. In a cardiac emergency, the first few minutes are critical. Immediate access to proper equipment and assistance can make the difference between life and death.
This initiative is built on three pillars:
24/7 Ambulance Service
We currently have ambulance service available to the community.
This service is possible thanks to:
This community support is essential to the sustainability of the program.
The Medical Emergencies Committee does not operate medical services directly; its role is coordination, communication, and program support.
