    Forum access and moderation policy:

      • Forums can be read by all, but writing posts and viewing the identities of post authors are restricted to community members who login.
      • Forums are moderated by the Vecinos Communications Team.
      • The team will monitor the comments and keep the site safe and appropriate  for all participants.
      • Posts will not be edited but will be fully deleted if they do not comport with posting guidelines.
  • Posting guidelines:

      • Read forum content and the posts of others before posting.
      • Always respect the views of others even if you disagree.
      • Please be constructive and keep things civil.
      • Focus on the issues and substantive comments.
      • Stay on topic. If you have a new thought, start a new thread.
      • Do not paste the same comment to multiple threads.
      • Please do not use ALL CAPS, as it is considered shouting.
      • Do not use foul language (including alternate spellings of swear words)
      • Do not be a troll (annoying, bullying, offensive, harassing, threatening, demanding, insulting, defamation). This includes use of emojis.
      • Never post non-public personal information about another participant.
      • Never post anything that could be construed as intolerant of a person’s race, culture, appearance, gender, age, religion or other classification.
      • Never post links to offensive, illegal, or inappropriate material.
      • Do not post product or service advertising or solicitations.
      • If you feel insulted or disrespected, report to the moderator rather than responding.
      • If you are unhappy with a moderator’s decision, send a note to admin@vecinosakumalnorte.org to discuss
  • Violations:

    Violations of posting guidelines may result in:

      • Deletion of the comment: Any comment that the moderators determine violate posting guidelines.
      • Temporary suspension: Any participant who repeatedly violates posting guidelines may be suspended from forum access for a period determined by the moderators.
      • Permanent blocking: A participant who continues to violate the posting guidelines following reinstatement after a suspension may have the access permanently blocked.
      • Immediate blocking: A participant who posts links to offensive, illegal, or inappropriate material will be immediately blocked.
