To the Vecinos Board:

The biggest challenge we face as a community association, is the lack of transparency.

I understand that Scott Brown submitted his name as candidate for Vice President of Vecinos but that the board has decided he is not qualified to serve in this role and is refusing to recognize him as a candidate for VP.  

I am writing as a member of Vecinos de Akumal Norte to express my opposition to the board’s ruling and my disappointment that the board made no effort to share news about their decision with Vecinos members like me.

If the board does not immediately reverse this unfair finding and publish a ballot that lists Scott as a candidate for VP, I will exercise my right as described in Article 11 of the Vecinos Bylaws and join with my fellow members in withholding ratification of the action the board took in declaring Scott Brown unqualified to serve as Vice President.
