Art Exhibition on November 21, 2024 at Lolha  at 6:00 p.m.–  We had an amazing turn out and successful art show raising $43,450 pesos between sales and commissions. Big hand of applause to Vecinos Akumal Norte Association president and wife Ricardo Mangione and Monica Hendricks, and all our association members and community for all their support.   We want to thank Laura Bush for her generosity allowing us to hold the event at Lolha for 2 weeks, Lolha staff, board members and their partners for their support  George and Josie Pritchard, Beryl and Susan VanLierop, Scott and Marieke Brown, Carly Flores, Ingrid Datica (artist), Monica Hendricks, Juan Antonio Huerta, special thanks to the board members who purchased art works Peter Swenson and Carly Flores. The event could not be possible without our local painter and teacher Giorvanni Avashadur and his art class students Ingrid Datica, Malu Guijosa, Claudia Munoz, Xell Carles,  Luu Montiel, Dianora Zagato, Rosa Zuniga, Elvira Biasin, Gali Avashadur and Monica Estrada. 

 

Keeping it Akumal, Fundraising Silent Auction Event scheduled for Thursday, January 30th, 2025 at Lolha.

Our Goal 75K pesos. We will be charging $500 pesos for entrance, includes cocktail food, 2 tickets for beer or wine, and music. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and Silent Auction closes at 8:30 p.m. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

 

Fashion Show & Brunch at Local Restaurant scheduled Saturday, February 15, 2025 at la Lunita.

Our Goal 25K pesos +10 % percentage from fashion designer Liz Suarez Clothing and Margot Jewelry sales.

Lol-Ha Restaurant

Local Painter Giorvanni Avashadur and his art students, including Akumalians Ingrid Datica, Monica Estrada, Claudia Munoz, and Malu Guijosa, will exhibit their work. All art pieces will be for sale and will be displayed in Lol-Ha Restaurant  for a couple of weeks. A percentage of the sales will be donated to Vecinos to support the work it does on behalf of the community.
